Weekly Wrap Up McKesson is currently facing shipping delays with routine vaccine orders because of an unusually high volume of orders in September. In some cases, orders submitted for shipment in early September may be part of the delay. McKesson anticipates resolution of order delays by October 2. In the interim, CDC has asked McKesson to prioritize delivery of items with nirsevimab until the shipping delays resolve.
VFC Providers may reference the general shipping and order approval page on EZIZ for frequent updates on VFC Vaccine Order Status.

Return to Table of Contents California Bridge Access Program (CA BAP) Update The California Bridge Access Program (CA BAP) provides COVID-19 vaccines at no cost to underinsured and uninsured adults aged 19 years and older. Due to limited funding, CDC ended the Federal BAP August 22, 2024. However, CDC awarded states limited Section 317 funds to continue to provide COVID-19 vaccines, enabling the California Bridge Access Program to remain in place for another year, as supply permits.
Availability of doses will be done via the current CA BAP structure. CA BAP locations are no longer required to report locations in vaccines.gov; however, are encouraged to Opt-in to My Turn Vaccine Locator (public facing).
For more information refer to the California Bridge Access Program and Resources pages, CA BAP Requirements at a Glance, and CA BAP Providers Operations Manual (CA BAP POM).
