Novavax COVID-19 Vaccine is Available for Ordering


The Novavax COVID-19 vaccine is now available for ordering through myCAvax for Bridge Access Program (BAP) providers and through myVFCvaccines for Vaccines for Children (VFC) providers. CDC's Interim Clinical Considerations for the Use of COVID-19 Vaccines was updated to include Novavax information. Trainings for Novavax 2023-24 vaccine product will be coming soon.

Vaccine Waste Reporting Reminder

Please note the following guidelines for correctly reporting vaccine waste if your location is also participating in the California Vaccines for Children Program. General reminder:  Shipment Incidents, Waste, and Excursion reports must be reported through whichever system providers ordered their vaccine.

VFC Providers

  • May only report through myVFCvaccines
  • VFC Providers that report in the wrong system (myCAvax) should contact the Provider Call Center at ProviderCallCenter@cdph.ca.gov or call (833)502-1245 for guidance on removing or updating the incorrect report.
  • For assistance on how to report VFC waste in myVFCvaccines, contact the VFC Call Center at myVFCvaccines@cdph.ca.gov or call (877) 243-8832. 

BAP and SGF Providers

  • May only report through myCAvax
  • Providers that report in the wrong system (myVFCvaccines) should contact the VFC Call Center at myVFCvaccines@cdph.ca.gov or call (877)243-8832 for guidance on removing or updating the incorrect report. For assistance on how to report BAP waste in myCAvax, contact the Provider Call Center at ProviderCallCenter@cdph.ca.gov or call (833) 502-1245.
