Reporting Temperature Excursions for NON-impacted Vaccines & Large FilesNon-Impacted VaccinesBackground: Previously the Storage and Handling Online Triage System (SHOTS) required providers to report temperature excursions with VFC vaccines even if the vaccines were not affected. Providers had the option to select "no vaccines in the unit, during the time of excursion" when submitting the report. New Guidance: Providers should not be reporting temperature excursions if the vaccines were not directly impacted! Uploading Large Temperature Log Files on Temperature Excursion ReportsBackground: Providers unable to upload temperature log files larger than 3 MB on an excursion report.
Guidance: Providers should attempt to upload the larger file after they have submitted the Excursion Event report. Any smaller files may be uploaded during the submission. There is a job aid available in myCAvax that provides guidance on how to do so (page 21): Recording Temperature Excursions | Salesforce.
Return to Table of Contents Reminder to Report COVID-19 Therapeutics
CDPH would like to remind all providers or sites that received COVID-19 therapeutics from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to finalize their reporting data in the Health Partners Ordering Portal (HPOP), by Sunday, June 30, 2024.
All HHS-procured therapeutics received must be accounted for as administered, transferred, wasted, or returned. Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) recognizes full reconciliation may not be possible, and thus, is striving to reach at least a 95% reconciliation for each product HHS distributed.
Once 95% reconciliation is achieved and current on-hand inventory is zero, no additional reporting for that product is required.
Partners who still have an inventory of non-expired oral antivirals need to report on-hand inventory that has not yet been dispensed. Federal entities that are receiving HHS-distributed oral antivirals must continue to report that inventory.
