Celebrate National Rural Health Day,

November 16th!

Rural communities face unique challenges in accessing basic healthcare, creating an equity gap for rural Americans. According to a 2023 report by the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), the gap in COVID-19 vaccination coverage between rural and urban areas doubled between 2021 and 2022.

CDC and other organizations have compiled best practices to improve vaccine confidence in rural communities. Please considering using them in any rural communities served by your organization.
