Enhancement Details for Providers

‌The myCAvax system will have new functionalities available tomorrow. We are making many of these enhancements in response to user feedback. They have an impact on Providers, especially those newly enrolling, and Local Health Departments/MCEs. Please review what is changing based on your role in the system:

Enrollment

 

‌Updates to Section B

The ‘Min-Max Thermometer’ option will be removed from the storage unit options. Additionally, Providers will see an informational message featuring definitions if they are selecting 'Digital Data Logger' or 'Networked Continuous Temperature Monitoring System' options when completing Section B of the Enrollment process.

Vaccine Ordering

 

Product Guide

The latest version of the Product Guide will be added to the Multi-Line Ordering Job Aids.

Temporary Closure

In Step 1 of the Multi-line Vaccine Order process, Providers will now be able to view a message on the screen if their Location Account is temporarily closed. They will still be able to proceed to submit the Order.

In step 2 of the Multi-line Vaccine Order process, Providers will be able to validate/update the existing shipping hours and enable a Temporary Closure on the account if required. This will imply that the location will be closed, and vaccine deliveries will not be accepted.

Order Fufillment 

The Local distribution file for Small Orders will be updated with new column labels among other changes. Providers will now need to enter the ‘Product’ name instead of the ‘NDC code’ when filling out the file.

Account Management 

 

Temporary Closure

In step 2 of the Multi-line Vaccine Order process, Providers will be able to place a Temporary Closure on a Location Account on public holidays or irregular days during general availability. An active Location Account can be placed in a ‘Temporary Closure’ or ‘Future Temporary Closure’ status reason by submitting ‘Temporary Closure Start Date’ and ‘Temporary Closure End Date’.

Temporary Closure Emails

An email will be sent to the Organization Coordinators, the Primary Location Coordinators, and the Backup Location Coordinator when an account is placed on a temporary closure.

Updated Provider Landing Page Static Text 

Providers will now be able to view the new VFC Pin field on the Account and Site Visit records. This field cannot be edited.

Site Visits

 

Site Visits Provider Category 

Providers will now be able to view the new Site Visit Provider Category field on the Account and Site Visit records. This field cannot be edited.

VFC Pin 

Providers will now be able to view the new VFC Pin field on the Account and Site Visit records. This field cannot be edited.

Storage Capacity 

 

Updated Storage Capacities Related List

Providers will now see more columns when viewing the storage capacities: ‘Storage Capacity Name’, ‘Storage Type’, ‘Unit Priority’, ‘Storage Capacity’, ‘Storage Unit Brand/Model’, ‘Thermometer Model and Serial Number’, and ‘Calibration Expiration’.
