In March 2023, the CDC announced new recommendations for universal hepatitis B screening. Hepatitis B is a serious liver infection caused by the hepatitis B virus. Chronic hepatitis B (HBV) infection can lead to serious morbidity or death. Previous guidelines recommended screening for hepatitis B in patients considered at high risk.
Presenters from CDPH and North-East Medical Services will discuss these new recommendations and share practical strategies for operationalizing universal hepatitis B screening at a community health center.
