2023 – 2024 COVID-19 Vaccines No Longer Authorized for Use

All 2023-2024 COVID-19 vaccines are no longer authorized for use and should not be administered.  Please remove the product from your inventory, and report them as expired, regardless of expiration date and return to McKesson. Please refer to the EZIZ Reporting and Return of Nonviable Vaccines page for more information.

Suggested Message: Flu and COVID-19 Vaccine

Updated flu and COVID-19 vaccines are now available! CDPH encourages everyone 6 months and older to get the 2024 – 2025 flu and COVID-19 vaccines to help prevent severe illness and hospitalization.

Schedule vaccine appointments with your health care provider, at a local pharmacy or at MyTurn.ca.gov - you can even get both vaccines in one visit!

CA BAP COVID-19 Vaccine Product Ordering Open

The California Bridge Access Program (CA BAP) is providing COVID-19 vaccines at no-cost to uninsured and underinsured adults ages 19 years and older during the 2024 – 2025 respiratory season. COVID-19 vaccine ordering is now open. CA BAP providers should submit initial orders by Friday, September 27.


CA BAP provider participation, eligibility, and all other CA BAP requirements remain unchanged. Provider agreements are being extended with the extension of CA BAP: No action from providers is required at this time.

CDC Health Update: Prevention Strategies for Mpox

CDC Health Update (September 23, 2024) on Prevention Strategies for Mpox, including Vaccinating People at Risk via Sexual Exposure, for U.S. Travelers Visiting Countries with Clade I Mpox Outbreaks, provides additional information about clade I mpox, including updated vaccination recommendations for travelers to affected countries in Africa that are anticipating any sexual activity, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.
