Last day to submit orders in MyVFCvaccines is FRIDAY, MAY 24, 2024.
If your routine order is due during or shortly after our blackout period (May 27- June 9), submit a new order (including flu) by close of business today, Friday, May 24, 2024! Ensure vaccine supply and availability for your VFC-eligible patients.
Submit any corresponding Transfers, Waste, Returns, into MyVFCvaccines alongside orders.
Confirm your information is up to date for your Vaccine Coordinator and Digital Data Loggers (DDLs).
Identify staff to sign up and attend trainings/office hours end of May – June
Beginning, May 27, myVFCvaccines will have limited access.
Ordering will be closed to all providers. For providers that submitted an order by May 24, 2024, myVFCvaccines will allow you to submit order corrections if needed; submit them promptly as requested by the VFC program by May 31, 2024.
Maintain documentation for any transfers, returns, or waste and have them ready to enter in myCAvax when the system goes live.
MyVFCVaccines will allow you to report any temperature excursions until May 31, 2024.
Contact the VFC Customer Service Center for any shipping incidents.
On Monday, June 10, 2024, myCAvax system will be ready.

Getting Started with myCAvax for Brand New Users | Registration full, more availability coming soon!
Join CDPH for a 30-minute introductory webinar to learn the basics of using myCAvax, including system navigation and login. This training is for VFC key practice staff who will be responsible for vaccine ordering and management in myCAvax (i.e., primary and backup vaccine coordinators). If you have prior experience with the platform, this training is optional or can be taken as a refresher.
CDPH encourages all to attend the 'VFC 101: Requesting VFC Vaccine in myCAvax' and 'VFC 102: Managing VFC Vaccine in myCAvax' trainings. CDPH is offering three sessions of this live training for brand new users. The content is repeated, so you only need to sign up for one of the webinars.
VFC 101: Requesting VFC Vaccine in myCAvax | Register on Zoom
Join CDPH for a 30-minute webinar exploring how to place a vaccine order request in myCAvax with an opportunity for Q&A. This training is intended for VFC key practice staff who will be responsible for requesting VFC vaccine in myCAvax (e.g., primary and backup vaccine coordinators). CDPH is offering four sessions of this live training. The content is repeated, so you only need to sign up for one of the webinars.
VFC 102: Managing VFC Vaccine in myCAvax | Register on Zoom
Join CDPH for a 30-minute webinar exploring how to report storage and handling events in myCAvax with an opportunity for Q&A. This training is intended for VFC providers (i.e., primary and backup vaccine coordinators) who will be responsible for managing VFC vaccine in myCAvax (e.g., reporting waste, transfers, shipment incidents, and excursions). CDPH is offering three sessions of this live training. The content is repeated, so you only need to sign up for one of the webinars.
VFC Office Hours
Join CDPH for a 30-minute Q&A session about the VFC program in myCAvax. Attendees will hear brief updates from subject matter experts and leadership before jumping into a dedicated Q&A session. CDPH will share similar updates at each session. Join one or many sessions as you have questions. CDPH recommends joining one session each week.

Nominate Your Immunization Champion for the Immunization Champion Award!
This message marks the launch of the nomination period for the Immunization Champion Award! We look forward to receiving your nominations and selecting a 2024 Immunization Champion for California. The Immunization Champion Award is a national award program hosted by the Association of Immunization Managers (AIM) and honors individuals going above and beyond to foster and/or promote immunization in their communities.
Completed nomination forms must be sent directly to the California Immunization Program at MyVFCvaccines@cdph.ca.gov, with the subject line, “IZ Champion.” We look forward to receiving your nominations. Please refer to the nomination packet for full details on nomination guidelines and criteria.
