Important Webinar Reminder: Immunization Updates for Providers

Please join CDPH tomorrow, Friday, May 31, 2024, 9:00 am - 10:30 am for the CDPH Immunization Updates for Providers webinar series (occurs every other Friday). Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and hear important updates about California’s Bridge Access Program.

Novavax Lots Expiring 

CDC discontinued provider ordering of Novavax on April 30, 2024. Remaining lots of Novavax that are out in the field will now be reaching their expiration on Friday, May 31, 2024. 

Providers should report their waste in myCAvax after expiration and will need to return expired vaccines to McKesson following routine reporting and receival of the return shipping labels. 

Active Vaccines for Children (VFC) providers will be able to report any Novavax waste in myCAvax upon the June 10th system migration.

If there are any issues with reporting Novavax waste in myCAvax, contact the Provider Call Center at 833-502-1245 or via email ProviderCallCenter@cdph.ca.gov.

State General Fund (SGF) Flu Ordering Cut-Off

CDPH will be processing final orders of SGF Flu vaccines by the end of day (EOD) Thursday, June 6, 2024. Providers will need to submit all orders by EOD Wednesday, June 5, to allow for LHD/CDPH review and approval by 12:00 pm the following day.
