CDPH Recommends Students Get Routine Vaccines Ahead of New School Year

Back-to-school season is around the corner. California law requires students to receive age-specific immunizations in order to attend public and private elementary and secondary schools, as well as licensed childcare centers. Families can visit the CDPH Immunization Branch and ShotsforSchool webpages for information on immunization laws and required vaccinations for students in California. Children without insurance coverage qualify for the Vaccines for Children Program, providing no-cost vaccines for eligible children.

Share messages (Facebook login required) encouraging parents and caretakers to schedule their children and teens to get their recommended and required vaccines before school starts.

Reminder: HHS-procured JYNNEOS Will Fully Close on August 1, 2024

CDPH would like to remind you that ordering of HHS-procured JYNNEOS will fully close on August 1, 2024 at 9:00 am (PT). To support any additional ordering until August 1, an out-of-cycle request must be made no later than July 30, 2024 at 9:00 am (PT). This will enable sufficient time to adjudicate the out-of-cycle request and for subsequent orders to process in advance of the August 1, 2024 close date.

Requests and orders should only be made to support access in circumstances where commercial product may not be available or accessible. JYNNEOS is now widely available through commercial channels.
