Return to Table of Contents COVID-19 Vaccine Reminder CA Bridge Access Program (CA BAP) 2024 – 2025 Letter JYNNEOS on the Commercial Market: A new resource has been made available for California health care providers about offering JYNNEOS vaccine through the commercial market to persons at risk for mpox. JYNNEOS is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for prevention of smallpox and mpox disease in adults 18 years and older at high risk for infection, and it is currently on the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) routine immunization schedule for certain individuals at risk for mpox. For additional resources see our Mpox Resources on EZIZ.
Return to Table of Contents The Public are Looking for Providers...Make Your Presence Known! The good news is that the Vaccine Locator component of My Turn helps patients find provider offices and immunization opportunities. The bad news, however, is that only 337 providers out of the 6,000+ provider locations using myCAvax have “opted-in” to this important access feature for patients. Opting-in for providers does not enable appointment scheduling or require the use of My Turn, it is simply a way to easily inform patients where you are, what immunization services you offer, and whether you are accepting new patients. The Vaccine Locator in My Turn replaces the EZIZ.org Provider Locator, which is being phased out. Please make your presence known so that patients can more readily access your services. Click the My Turn Vaccine Locator Opt-In tab on the Provider Locator page when you log in to myCAvax and complete the information form. It's easy and it will make a big difference. My Turn Access is not needed to opt-in.
Return to Table of Contents Vaccine Shipment Holds for the Fall/Winter Holiday Season As we approach the Fall and Winter seasons there will be various holidays that may impact provider's availability to receive vaccine shipments. Though CDPH has requested shipment holds on most of the holidays, providers should remember to set a temporary closure on their myCAvax accounts to avoid shipment incidents. Enabling temporary closures will allow CDPH to determine potential shipment dates and exclude any necessary orders from processing as a measure to prevent incidents from occurring.
Need assistance with adding or updating a temporary closure? Contact the Provider Call Center at 833-502-1245 or via email ProviderCallCenter@cdph.ca.gov.
Please refer to the SGF September/October Calendar for the next holiday cadence adjustments for SGF only. Additional Holiday cadence calendars for both SGF and BAP will be made available soon.
