Suggested Messages and Resources for Measles

Make sure your patients are up to date with vaccinations, especially the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, to get the best protection against disease and severe illness. Infants 6 months and older should receive an early dose of MMR before international travel, followed by the routine 2-dose series starting at 12-15 months. Children and adults 12 months and older should receive 2 doses of MMR, 28 days apart, before international travel.

CDPH offers resources and messaging options in the Measles Toolkit.
