July Holiday Ordering Cadence Calendars
Providers should remember to set a temporary closure on their myCAvax accounts during holiday closures at their sites. This will ensure that CDPH can exclude any necessary orders from processing to avoid shipping incidents. Please note: order holds on July 4th and 5th apply to all programs in myCAvax. See Holiday Ordering & Distribution Calendars below for details.

Reporting Temperature Excursions for NON-impacted Vaccines & Large Files
Non Impacted Vaccines
Background: Previously the SHOTS system required providers to report temperature excursions with VFC vaccines even if the vaccines were not affected. Providers had the option to select "no vaccines in the unit, during the time of excursion" when submitting the report.
New Guidance: Providers should not be reporting temperature excursions if the vaccines were not directly impacted!
Uploading Large Temperature Log Files on Temperature Excursion Reports:
Background: Providers unable to upload temperature log files larger than 3 MB on an excursion report.
Guidance: Providers should attempt to upload the larger file after they have submitted the Excursion Event report. Any smaller files may be uploaded during the submission. There is a job aid available in myCAvax that provides guidance on how to do so (page 21): Recording Temperature Excursions | Salesforce.
